In which GT’s explosive batsman Sai Sudarshan scored 48 runs in 23 balls and his partner Captain Shubman Gill played a brilliant innings of 76 runs in 38 balls, after him Jos Butler also played a brilliant innings of 64 runs in 37 balls. Due to this Gujarat Titans scored a total of 224 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs. In which Sunrisers Hyderabad’s fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat took a total of 3 wickets by giving 35 runs in the last over of the innings but by then Gujarat Titans had made a big score.
Sunrisers Hyderabad came out to chase the target of 225 runs given by Gujarat Titans and their top batsman Travis Head contributed 20 runs and Abhishek Sharma who came with him gave a fast start to the team by playing a brilliant innings of 74 runs in 41 balls. But in the 5th over, Travis Head lost his wicket on a brilliant catch by Rashid Khan. This wicket went to Prasidh Krishna. SRH batsman Ishan Kishan was once again seen struggling in batting and he was able to score only 13 runs.
After this wicket fell, Heinrich Klaasen scored 23 runs and made a brilliant partnership of 57 runs with Abhishek Sharma. Abhishek Sharma was dismissed on a score of 74 by SRH’s impact bowler Ishant Sharma. After this Gujarat Titans started putting pressure in the match. In the end, SRH’s team was able to score only 186 runs at the loss of 6 wickets in 20 overs and GT won this match.
This is the 7th defeat of Sunrisers Hyderabad out of 10 matches in this season and they are placed at the 9th position in the Points table. On the other hand, Gujarat Titans have won 7 out of their 10 matches and have reached the second position in the Points table.
