Indian batsman Ruturaj Gaikwad will join Yorkshire ahead of the Rothesay County Championship game against Surrey at Scarborough in July and will get to play with the White Rose till the end of the season. A former captain of five-time champions Chennai Super Kings in the IPL and Maharashtra in the Ranji Trophy, the Indian batsman from Pune is extremely skilled, having played six international ODIs apart from 23 impressive performances in IT20.
Ruturaj Gaikwad is capable and competent to bat anywhere in the top 4 and also has versatility. Ruturaj Gaikwad said, “I am very happy to join the popular Yorkshire for the rest of England’s exciting domestic season. It has always been a big goal of mine to experience cricket in England and anyway there is no bigger club than Yorkshire in England.”

Ruturaj Gaikwad said, “I know how important this season is that I will perform well in the most important part of the season. We have some important games in the County Championship of England and the remaining One Day Cup is a great opportunity to win some silverware.”
