Jasprit Bumrah Finally Reveals The Real Reason
“Before the retirement of two Indian team stars Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli – during IPL 2025, I met the BCCI and talked to them, that I had important discussions on the workload to move forward in a great five-match Test series and I also spoke to the people who manage my back. We came to the decision that we had to think a little more brainstorming, after that I called the BCCI that I do not want to be seen in the leadership role of the Indian team because I will not be able to play all the Test matches,” Jasprit Bumrah told Sky Sports in an interview.
“Although the BCCI was looking at me as the leadership role of the Indian team, but I had to refuse them. Because it is not certain that I will play all the Test matches, so it is not fair to my Indian team because I always wanted to put the team first,” he said.
