The BCCI removed the support staff of the team india after India’s disappointing defeat in the India vs Australia Border-Gavaskar Trophy 2024-25 played in Australia.
Indian team’s assistant coach Abhishek Nair, who was appointed by the BCCI just eight months ago, has been sacked from the Indian team. Along with him, the team’s fielding coach T. Dilip and strength and conditioning coach Soham Desai have also been sacked by the BCCI.
When India’s legendary batsman Gautam Gambhir was appointed as the new head coach by the BCCI, he brought with him many of his coaching colleagues from Kolkata Knight Riders, including Nair, Ryan ten Doeschate and Morne Morkel.
Seeing the Indian team’s batting problems in the home Test matches against New Zealand and the team’s struggle in Australia, the BCCI then appointed Sitanshu Kotak as the batting coach. Despite all the initial challenges of the team, Gambhir and his Indian team managed to win the Champions Trophy. Ten Doeschate, Nair, Morkel, Dilip and Sitanshu Kotak all played a vital role in that success. Abhishek Nayar’s tenure with the Indian team has come to an end, while Ryan Ten Doeschate will continue with the national team India.
