India’s new Squad for England Test: On 24th May, 2025, the selection committee of the Board of Control for Cricket in India made an important announcement of the Indian team against the England Test series. Today afternoon, BCCI selection committee chief Ajit Agarkar announced Shubman Gill as the new Test captain of the Indian Test team. In which Shubman Gill currently replaced former Indian Test team captain Rohit Sharma.
Despite veteran players Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli not being part of the team, many familiar faces have been included in the Indian team for the England Test tour. In which Indian experienced fast bowler Mohammed Shami and brilliant batsman Sarfaraz Khan are not in the expected line. While Karun Nair has got a comeback in the team on the basis of his excellent form in Ranji Trophy 2024-25.
The special thing is that Rishabh Pant has been made the vice-captain of the announced team, who has replaced Indian team’s fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah. The remaining team includes known stars like Jaiswal, KL Rahul, Nitish Reddy, Ravindra Jadeja.
