Indian women’s team’s left-arm spinner Radha Yadav will replace injured Shuchi Upadhyay in the Indian women’s team for the 2025 England tour. The Indian women’s team is scheduled to play five T20 and three ODIs against the host team England.
Shuchi Upadhyay has been ruled out of the England tour by the BCCI due to a serious injury to her left calf. This women’s spinner made her brilliant ODI debut during the exciting tri-series of India, Sri Lanka and South Africa earlier this year. Due to this, she got her first T20 call-up by the BCCI for the England tour, which was joyous news for her at that time. But now she has been ruled out due to injury.
Shuchi Upadhyay impressed everyone with her bowling during the Senior Women’s One-Day Trophy held in December last year, where Shuchi Upadhyay proved to be the third-highest wicket-taker. Shuchi Upadhyay took a total of 18 wickets at an impressive economy rate of 3.48.
Radha Yadav Replaces Injured Shuchi Upadhyay For 2025 England Tour
Radha Yadav has played 84 T20 matches so far and has impressed everyone with her excellent form. For this reason, BCCI had to replace injured Shuchi Upadhyay with Radha Yadav because she can handle her place well. Because Radha Yadav last played for the Indian team in December 2024, where this left-arm spinner bowler also took four wickets against West Indies.
