KKR vs GT Highlights: IPL 2025 Match 39
In yesterday’s match, Gujarat Titans defeated Kolkata Knight Riders by 39 runs on the strength of their batsmen and bowlers. They achieved their sixth win of IPL 2025. Chasing the target of 199 runs, Kolkata Knight Riders team could only score 159 runs for the loss of eight wickets. From their side, experienced captain Ajinkya Rahane scored 50 runs but all the batsmen of KKR could not play well. Because GT Rashid Khan and Prasidh Krishna bowled brilliantly.
Explosive Batting of Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan silenced the bowlers of KKR
During the match, Gujarat Titans captain Shubman Gill and Sai Sudarshan scored 198 runs for the loss of three wickets with the help of explosive innings of these batsmen. Shubman Gill played a strong innings of 90 runs in 55 balls with 10 fours and 3 sixes and supporting him Sai Sudarshan played a brilliant innings of 52 runs in 36 balls. These two batsmen added 114 runs for their team in 13 overs. Later Harshit Rana dismissed Rahul Tewatia in the next over. He returned again without scoring any runs.
Later Jos Butler took the responsibility of Gujarat Titans and he hit two consecutive sixes in the last over of Arora’s innings, Butler played a dangerous innings of 41 runs by hitting eight fours in 23 balls and supporting him Shahrukh Khan played an unbeaten innings of 11 runs and he hit the last six to make the score of Gujarat Titans 198 runs.
KKR Batsmen and Bowlers were seen Struggling in their Home Ground
Mohammad Siraj gave the first blow to Kolkata Knight Riders in the very first over with his excellent bowling. He got Rahmanullah Gurbaz LBW on the last ball of his over. Later Sunil Narine tried to create pressure with his bat but Gujarat Titans bowlers kept him tied. He scored 17 runs with the help of two fours and a sax and then lost his wicket on Rashid Khan’s ball.
But Captain Ajinkya Rahane raised hopes of Kolkata Knight Riders winning, he completed his half-century by hitting five fours and a six in 36 balls, his innings helped the team reach 91 runs, later he lost his wicket on Sundar’s ball. Vice captain Venkatesh Iyer could score only 14 runs. Andre Russell scored 21 runs with the help of three fours and a six but lost his wicket on Rashid Khan’s ball. Raghu Rajvanshi remained unbeaten by scoring 27 runs in 13 balls but could not make his team win.
