While chasing the target of 210 runs, the Capitals had a very bad start and by the second over the score became 3 wickets for 7 runs. After this, by 13 overs, the team had lost six wickets for 116 runs. But Ashutosh played a brilliant innings of 66 runs in 31 balls and gave his team victory. Lucknow Super Giants had scored 209/8 on the back of explosive innings of Nicholas Pooran (75 runs, 30 balls, 7 sixes, 6 fours) and Mitchell Marsh (72 runs). LSG’s score was 133/1 in the 12th over, but the brilliant bowling of Kuldeep Yadav (4 overs, 20 runs, 2 wickets) and Mitchell Starc (3/42) allowed them to add only 76 runs in the last eight overs and took six wickets.

Marsh scored fast for LSG and completed his half-century in just 21 balls. Nicholas Pooran also showed his aggressive attitude, especially against the spinners of Delhi Capitals, and shared an 87-run partnership with Marsh in just 42 balls.

However, a turning point came during LSG’s innings when Sameer Rizvi dropped Pooran’s catch in the seventh over. After this, Pooran wreaked havoc on Delhi bowlers.

In the end, David Miller’s brilliant batting (27 runs, 19 balls) struggled, but there was no significant support from the other end and LSG could only reach 209 runs.
